AUDI HAVE RELEASED MORE Q5 MODELS TO ORDER

New transmission and engine options for Audi Q5
21 Jan 09
Bulletin ref: AU0071-09

The Audi Q5 2.0 TDI quattro is now available with seven-speed S tronic transmission, while the 2.0 TFSI quattro can now be ordered as a six-speed manual. A second petrol engine is also joining the Audi Q5 line-up: the 3.2 FSI is a V6 four-valve engine producing a massive 270PS and linked to a seven-speed S tronic transmission.
A new pricing and specification guide, featuring these new transmission and engine options, will soon be available  via www.audi.co.uk

This is what I have been waiting for. I am very seriously looking at buying the smaller diesel (because of the business car tax) but require 'automatic'.
How long must we wait for the linked Audi site to update details?
If this is going to take ages, could you possibly help me?
I am particularly keen to see the appropriate m.p.g. and emission figures for this combination.
It would also be helpful to know if the top gear is a higher ratio than the manual, as the example of the latter which I tested was a little noisy at  70-80mph.
Lastly, I would really like confirmation that the ride on 18" wheels is a little more forgiving than the 19" versions that come with the 'S' and if so can one order an 'S' package without 19" wheels at a lower price?
Many thanks,
R.S.

Hi Remps, welcome to the site.

Don't know when the Audi U.K. website will be updated with all the new info.

Some info on fuel consumption for 2.0ltr TDI with S-Tronic can be seen on the German website page 4 ,  the CO2 is 179g,  MPG looks almost identical to the manual.

Other than that I suggest you badger your local dealer

Many thanks for that.
I was hoping this site was connected to/read by Audi U.K. and that they might shed some light on my queries or even 'get their finger out' and actually update the main Audi website, as has been done by their German counterparts.
Its not as if they can be snowed under with work at the moment.
As for local dealers, I went to one, but already knew more
(from your month old Post) than they did!
Wakey Wakey Audi U.K.!!!

I note this is the 'Official' Q5 Site, but does that mean it is in any way actually connected, sanctioned or approved of by Audi?

I ask, because if so, why are they not responding to any of the owners/potential owners who are anxious about the seriously suspect suspension set-up on the Q5?
Or is it like the neglected 'Official Audi U.K. Site' which they still haven't bothered to update yet regarding the availability of automatic on the small diesel?
If there is no official link between this Club and Audi whatever, perhaps we need to consider Posting on Motoring Magazine Websites to get Audi's attention.

This site has no links to Audi whatsoever. It is purely the site for an eventual Owner's Club, once we have reached critical mass.

Sorry,
but as you say ' THIS SITE HAS NO LINKS TO AUDI WHATSOEVER ',

in which way is this site 'OFFICIAL' ?

Surely it is actually 'UNOFFICIAL'?

(Which doesn't stop it being useful, but in a different way)
