Q5 s tronic
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:09:16 AM »
I am concerned that there appears to be a problem with what must be considered if I am informed correctly with Q5 s tronic. Mine is not smooth and has developed a problem at 1500 rpm where it refuses to change gear and the lapse in take up is very dangerous. I am told there is a software update but also there are replacement units being fitted under warranty with very low mileage vehicles. Does anyone have any information on this?

Think there's a defect with the S-Tronic Box but the good news is that there's a software upgrade that will transform the behavior of your Q5.

I've just had a first service @ 20k miles and I specifically raised the issue before leaving it with my dealer "Audi Guildford". They hinted that there was a "software update" available.

All aspects of up and down-shifts have improved and I'm as delighted as ever with it - first time I've ever run a car that I would choose again when it's time to change.
