possible to remove headrests?
« on: June 27, 2009, 02:21:47 PM »
I've looked in the manual and didn't find the answer
Does anyone know how to remove the headrests?
I'd like to add a hanger that requires the headrest to come off

The rear rest can be removed by depressing the tab on the base. The front, I have no idea.   Ron

Front seats:

About one inch down from seam on left post is button. Can't feel it but you can feel the click...

Have someone helping you as I had hard time to get it out just by myself. Left thumb pushing hard the button and then with right trying to slam it upwards.

headrests...

I have seen few posts on other forums where "petite" 5'3" owners complain that the front headrests does not come down enough.

My wife is 5'3" and she haven't complain but I guess it is individual feeling.

Anyways, I played around with ideas and what would be feasible solution and...

One quick is to order 2 additional rear headrests and replacing front with rear.

NOTE: Rear does not lock to front as the locking groove does not match but if you know how to use angle grinder then this is not an issue (or find someone who knows how to use it)
